Ohmtemp Company was started in 1980, by Jack Skiver in an 800-square foot building in Plymouth, Michigan. In 1991 Ohmtemp Company became Ohmtemp International, Inc., to reflect the sales of Pail and Drum Heaters all around the world. Today we are in a 5000-square foot building located in Garden City, Michigan. Now that we have entered the the new millennium, we now have catalog distributors, stocking distributors, and manufacturer's representatives located around the United States.

Our First Pail Heaters were designed with a square exterior, but shortly after their introduction they were replaced with a round exterior.
